Subject: Tool & Die Sure Did Pay Good!
Big Three union tool & die makers were making around $30 an hour in the early 1970's. They also got overtime despite the fact that most tool making had been farmed out to Germany and Japan by then. Their shops were more like "clubhouses." My dad's shop had a bingo game ongoing most days.

He was probably shown an equivalent film to this c. 1940. 9th grade dropout but he knew geometry, trigonometry logarithms and some higher algebra too.

A good film. Pretty much tells you what to expect.
